First week /Fun times! 

Whew!  I am very briefly coming up for a breather before finishing the first week!  What a great first week so far!  The students have come to school not only ready to learn but EAGER to learn!  They are doing a fabulous job of learning procedures and routines, making new friends and building our classroom community.

Back to school night has been announced.  It will be Thursday, September 1.  Please check your child's blue folder for the invitation.  We will be presenting information about 1st grade curriculum, homework, grading, behavior management and many more items.  Please attend, as it will be a great opportunity to ask question and sign up for Kiker PTA and volunteer opportunities.

Also, check the blue folder for this year's first homework assignment.  It is a fun task for the students.  They will be collecting items to put inside a small bag.  Each item should tell something special about themselves.  ME bags will be due Monday, August 29. That week 4-5 students will be sharing their ME bags each day.  By the end of the week we will all know something special about each other.
